History
We've been building websites for a long time. Owner & creative custom web designer Heidi Weiland began playing with garishly ugly HTML web pages in the late 90's (but SO cool at the time). Long before that, founder Karen Weiland was incorporating leading edge internet technology into the library & city infrastructure in Valdez, Alaska. Both women founded their own web design businesses in the early 2000's and soon began working together in 2005 under Karen's Valdez based Sound Web Solutions in 2005.
Over the years, SWS has evolved into an Alaska web design company with a solid reputation. Heidi has built a creative and technical team to provide an expanded array of services, collaborating with clients to build beautiful websites.
Today, we continue our work at a new level of evolution with our rebranding in 2018. We exist to elevate Alaska web design. We want websites to work for our customers and meet the unique needs of our Alaskan clientele. While developing and maintaining our customer’s websites, we use a clear process to make sure that we are/ addressing our customers core needs. This is the backbone of quality for the websites we build. Our process, developed over years of experience, reveals the unique ecosystem of websites.
