Aleutian Pribilof Islands Association
APIA is a tribal organization of the Aleut people devoted to meeting the health and well-being needs of the communities they represent. Their new website focuses on providing the information most relevant to their customers in a completely redefined interface, fully optimized for mobile devices and for slow connections.
This large website with a great deal of content required a variety of approaches to incorporate photo archives, multiple news types and audio language translations. We developed a highly customized WordPress website for themthat displays the information clearly and beautifully, while allowing their staff to easily edit information and providing advanced tools for power users and IT management.
Vertical Harvest Hydroponics
We tailored VHH’s home page to spark interest in hydroponic technology, showcase the company’s newest consumer products, and allow interested customers to easily sign up for email updates.
Their online store was also a major feature, created specially for VHH’s unique business needs. It is simple enough to be updated in-house, yet powerful enough to work with multiple fulfillment companies, shipping options, and automations to market their consumer hydroponic models.
ENSTAR Natural Gas, an Alaskan public utility, asked us to reinvent their website’s graphic design, improve the user experience, integrate with third party account tools and provide training that enables staff to manage the site in-house. The new site boasts a tailor made graphic design, completely reworked content and information architecture, a responsive WordPress theme and a robust, custom WordPress backend. Now ENSTAR customers can navigate the site easily with its improved user experience features, as well as manage their accounts, pay bills online, and receive emergency notices when needed.
Chadux is a not-for-profit organization that provides resources to contain, control, and clean up petroleum spills in Alaska. In partnership with Yuit Comm, we turned their beautiful design into a custom WordPress website that features an interactive map, calendar, extensive equipment list and a members area. And, as always, we gave detailed attention to the mobile experience.
Cook Inletkeeper is an Alaskan nonprofit organization that combines advocacy, education and science to protect the Cook Inlet watershed.
Contemporary, fully mobile and completely custom, this high-end website design for the Valdez Museum and Historical Archive (VMHA) is a key piece in the Museum’s rebranding strategy. Completely reimagining both the graphic design and the functionality of the website, SWS built a custom WordPress theme from the ground-up. Included is an impressive array of unique dynamic content population features which enable VMHA staff to update content in one area and have it sent automagically to various locations and, often, in different formats. Other features include responsive, HTML5 structure that is mobile-ready; an online store, MailChimp integration, dynamic slide shows, custom calendar, membership and donation integration with the online store and online volunteer and membership forms.
